hi angels !!! for those of you who are new here and don't know what's going on when i talk about selkie lia, i'm here to drop the lore about selkie lia \o/
before liana was the angel of death, before her big revamp that i did some number of months ago, she was a selkie. she was the first selkie of creation, influenced from the fairly uncommon folklore of selkies being fallen angels who drop into the sea ( whereas fairies are fallen angels that drop onto land ). a lot of current liana is made up of old lore from selkie liana and there are a lot of things that coincide but a lot of things that are different too !!!
in my personal interpretation of fallen angel selkie liana, she kept a piece of her divinity in a locket around her neck and as she was falling, she swallowed that little shard of divinity and when she hit the water, the ocean embraced her, enveloped her and her wings which had ripped off of her back from the impact cocooned her and the ocean made them into a seal skin, wrapping her in warmth and safety. and that's essentially the how of angel > selkie that i had come up with.
the why is really what held me back in a lot of aspects because i was trying to justify something and i couldn't ever settle on one thing and it's what made me lose muse for her, do her revamp and all that. but i think since i'm gonna make a verse for selkie liana, i may just revisit trying to figure it out again and see what happens. but i know one thing for sure and it's that i've missed her so much, so she will have a verse here !!!
