Words

It’s funny how words

are so powerful we are changed by them.

In a single event, with a single

word, everything changes. From birthdays to

graduations to weddings. It’s surreal

how our mindsets are changed by a single

decision, decisions uttered through words.

An “I do.” creates a family.

A “Happy birthday!” advances a person’s age.

A “You’re nothing.” either motivates or puts down a person forever.

Words create worlds, and worlds are enriched by words.

Bye: A Poetic Ending To A Hurricane of Emotion

Welp! My blog has served its purpose well for me over the past 2 years or so. Originally a stalking tool, it became a place of weird reflection on things once lost and what could be great. I suppose the best way I could leave tumblr is the the way I started it. Hopelessly following what I believe is best for me. I look forward not out of necessity but out of want. Want for a better tomorrow in light of a dark yesterday. A yesterday full of what once was and had beens. Had beens that once consumed my life and made me what I was. But I hated what I was. I hated what you made me. And because I hated what you made me, I made you into something that I hated so much more. Maybe someday there will be something I can say to you that resembles how I felt. Maybe sometime I'll get around to showing you what I couldnt show you before. But youre in a better place now than I have ever seen you, and that makes me so happy it's not even funny. Anyways. I wish whoever reads this a happy life and that they get everything they've ever wanted out of whatever it is they strive to achieve. I look forward not out of necessity, but out of hope.

Wow is so weird. Whenever I see your name, I flinch. I have so many regrets on my part. I guess it was my fault I started feeling. Both of us weren't ready for it. I don't think we ever will be. When the day comes to part, I hope I won't run into you ever again. I'm done.

It Was Nice.

It was nice to see you again, to see that you were still breathing.
 It was nice to have felt the relief of what was left unsaid being said. It was nice seeing your eyes making contact with mine as the conversation carried on.
 It was nice hearing your voice again.
 It was nice looking at you, and knowing that you still cared. It was nice knowing how you felt.
 It was nice knowing that you loved me enough to forgive my wrongs when i know damn well that i didn’t deserve it. 
 But most of all; It was nice feeling your warm embrace again, as your skin touched mine. (J.H.)

Thunderstorm

I love storms. 

I love watching them, listening to them, and smelling them.

You were content to simply stand around and watch the storm with me.

Already, I had no idea what was going on.

From our vantage point, the wind and the rain made the parking lot look like a massive asphalt ocean, wave after wave.

From our shelter, the wind still made sure that we got drenched.

I could not have cared less. A foreign sensation edged upon me where words didn't matter. Words couldn't matter.

I felt no need to fill the silence with my trite stories and amateur comedic timing. You, leaning on the railing, brought joy to the lull in conversation.

Still the storm made plenty of noise for us.

The most peace came from that storm

and I loved it.

You!

You denied me friendship.

You talk and talk and talk and talk a good game,

And I wish it were reality.

Sometimes I am crazy, passionate, emotional, pioneering, thought-provoking, kind,

                      placid, depressed, unresponsive, sloth   ,         lonely        ,  sad,

I,

I see two futures.

Many variables, thoughts, books, chats, and decisions,

I, steeped in confusion,

I sigh that it were reality.
