How It Might Go Down
Jeff Flake will vote "Yes” on Brett Kavanaugh. That will bring the GOP to 49 affirmative votes.
Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, who claim to be pro-choice and whose constituents overwhelmingly oppose Kavanaugh, will both vote “No”...
...because they’ve struck a deal to ensure that Kavanaugh will be confirmed anyway: Conservative pro-life Democrat Joe Manchin will vote “Yes.”
That leaves the vote tied at 50-50. Mike Pence will break the tie, and he will of course vote to confirm.

Anyway if you wanna read the transcript of Jeff Flake’s speech you can find it here. It is a great speech, it is truly worth a read or a watch. Honestly it is one of the few times I have read something said by a Republican as of late that truly sounds like a person who cares in any way shape or form about the principles of Democracy and ensuring they are not destroyed by this administration.
I stand with the Republican senators who publicly condemn the President's behavior.
It's a damn shame I can't vote to reelect any of them.
I'm aware that there's a segment of my party that believes that anything short of complete and unquestioning loyalty to a president who belongs to my party is unacceptable and suspect. The notion that one should stay silent as the norms and values that keep America strong are undermined, and as alliances and agreements that ensure the stability of the entire world are routinely threatened by the level of thought that goes into 140 characters — the notion that we should say or do nothing in the face of such mercurial behavior — is ahistoric and profoundly misguided.
