Headcanons about vacations with the twins?

Omg!!

Okay, so, the twins really want to go to the beach, but Mettaton can’t really do that, because robots don’t really mix well with sand, walt water, or anything the beach has to offer really. So Mettaton needs to wait for Alphys to work on particular upgrades to be able to go to the beach in their later lives. 

So for now, they stick with rustic mountain vacations, resorts, and things like that. Oh, and definitely Disney. 

When they go to the mountains, they go both in the summer and the winter. Going up in the summer they go on fun hiking trips, reader (along with some field guide books they bring), teaches the twins (and Mettaton) about a lot of the wildlife; birds, plants, fungi, ect. They go up to big lakes, and Reader takes the girls swimming, and Mettaton stays on dry land and takes pictures. 

In the winter, they go skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and tubing. (Reader and Naomi ski, MTT and Nikita snowboard). I feel like at some point, Nikita breaks an arm. They also play in the snow, making snow angels, snow people, forts, have snowball fights, and wind down the day with hot cocoa by a fire. 

Other summers, they go to Disney and have just the ultimate experience. Meeting characters and princesses, wearing different themed ears as a family, eating yummy food, going on rides, playing games, just, so much fun. One year they almost lose Naomi in a large crowd, but Mettaton saves the day with his noodle arms.
