I HATE THE SENSITIVE CONTENT UPDATE

For those of you who don’t know, recently Tumblr updated it’s safe mode so that if you’re under 18, YOU CAN NOT TURN IT OFF!

This means that anything that’s considered “inappropriate”, such as: nudity, porn, or anything labeled “NSFW”.

Sure this is great for the smaller kids, but I think it should be if you’re under 16 or 17.

I’m not saying I hate it cuz I’m a perv or something. I just hate that I’m being limited to what I can see because I’m still 17 instead of 18. Some of the shit that’s being blocked isn’t even that bad. It’s like art and shit. I just really hate that I can no longer see certain things, whether I want to or not.

I hate this new age restriction system because I can’t even see anything, and the people I follow usually don’t post nsfw, so I’m guessing it’s something else. Why are they restricting things that aren’t nsfw? And as far as I know, you can’t even turn it off if you’re a minor? I mean, it would be helpful if it actually only protected against posts of sexual nature, but I think it’s doing more than that? I honestly think that I should just create a new account and lie about my age because I’m turning 18 in a few months and it’s not like I’m actually looking for sexual stuff. And I just wanna view posts that aren’t sexual but tumblr keeps blocking it even though it’s not sexual
