“Landstriders are powerful creatures. Low to the ground for running, maybe, but have you seen one stand? I didn’t know they could until I saw one, dark as night yet gleaming the cursed purple. I didn’t know they could grow that huge, though I suppose the ones the King kept for a time must have been younglings. That... or maybe this cursed glow grows them bigger than they should be... He didn’t stay long for me to study him, but I could have sworn there was intelligence there in his eyes. The King will not believe me, I am sure. It was almost as if that beast knew who I was. I still wake up at night thinking of those eyes. Eyes that were too bright for a dull creature yet darkened with the knowledge of something evil...”

I really do plan on finishing this pic, hopefully soon. Making a ref for one of my older characters: Senthyril. He was an Elven Prince who got cursed by the corpse of an evil Landstrider. Ever since he’s had to learn to adapt to his new body and the abilities it has. Like running at his new top speed without crashing. With his big claws and longer legs, he doesn’t quite get how to run and pay enough attention to not drill a hole into a tree with his head alone. Off to the side are refs for the markings on his front legs and his entire back. Bout time I drew them completely.
