One of the things that makes A Piece of Your Mind feel so different from other dramas is how it handles grief and love coexisting. In most shows, a dead first love is treated like this haunting shadow that needs to be “overcome” before the main relationship can truly begin. But here, Ji Soo isn’t an obstacle. So this is an oldie classic for me. It’s from 2010 and yes it can get over the top sometimes and yes the storyline is sometimes 🤪 but it’s a fantastic melodrama especially in the first half of the series. I thought it always was sort of original in the sense that you had a main character, Eun Ju, who is basically the protagonist that sets off everything in motion being the evil stepsister but you sympathize with her, or at least I did, I don’t know. Honestly I loved all the characters in this, everyone was really written well, including the eye candy fodder of Ok Taec Yeon (gotta love me some of the 2pm youngin’ days) He was absolutely adorable in this although sometimes painful to watch since yes his character was the awful second male lead syndrome type where you know the relationship is sunk before it even begins but you always hope for the ship to sail. Overall in a nutshell this is a really enjoyable drama if you like over the top heartfelt melodramas.

Done watching 16 episodes of “Hi Bye, Mama!”

Starring one of the most gorgeous Korean actress (and personal favorite) Kim Tae Hee and Lee Kyu Hyung

I can’t imagine I am finally done watching this Korean drama. This is so heartbreaking. Every episode made me cry like a thousand times. I swear. Even when their OST is starting to play in the background, I am already crying and sobbing.

Get ready. You must have towel with you not tissue. A big towel.

Highly recommended Korean drama for all ages.
