I just wanted you to know that this blog is mainly for Pakistan. I just created the provinces for further shugal but again , the main focus is on Pakistan so i do not think i will be personifying all those princely states or going too deep into them. When i want Pakistanis to view this blog , i want them to get more attached to Umer or Pakistan as a whole country instead of pledging allegiance to their own respective provinces XD. As for Azad Kashmir , Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan , you’ll get to see them eventually , i’ll reblog them along with this post. Also i will be doing Kalasha too because i want to lol
As for the twin thingy , well for Balochistan , no i won’t put them as twins , i didn’t really think much into the Sistan province of Iran, but the biography of Balochistan is pretty diverse so he isn’t the twin of Sistan. They are related (obviously). I made Makran because he was pretty distinct from the Iranic Balochis and needed his own personification.
For Punjab , again , he isn’t the twin of Indian Punjab. The Punjabi identity isn’t based on ethnicity , but is much more based on culture and language. So basically if anyone lives in Punjab and has embraced its culture and language , they can be called Punjabis. In Pakistan , i have divided the Pakistani Punjab into two separate personifications , Northern Punjab , which includes all those cities next to Kashmir , the pahari-potowar plateau and north western areas of Punjab including Rawalpindi , Jhelum etc. and South Punjab , also known as Seraiki , because they have their own culture, Southern punjab includes Multan ,Bhawalpur , Toba Tek Singh etc etc. However , Northern Punjab holds more influence and power than southern Punjab , so i put Northern Punjab to represent Punjab most of the time. (even though that is starting to change slowly but gradually) (also don’t worry , northern Punjab is mostly a comic relief-type of character) So no , Pakistani Punjab looks different from Indian Punjab/Himachel Pradesh (Himachel would look a bit more tibetan-punjabi mix in my opinion).
As for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan regions , Gilgit Baltistan is an entity of its own. As for Azad Kashmir , yeah , shares heritage with the Kashmir Valley. ( I still need to work a bit more on this i guess-? but just for fun , Kashmir banega Pakistan :p)
They can be threaded as related but overall they look different (not THAT drastically) but not as similarly as twins. If you have any designs i would love to see them :D
As for their relation with Pakistan? Well since Pakistan as a country came to , in 1947 , i headcannon that before that , the Provinces themselves were Nations and Kingdoms of their own. And we All know how much our own provinces in those days fought with one another lolol. But in order to create Pakistan ,they gave up their days of glory and instead came together to form a single nation. However old habits die hard and some of the provinces still hold some slight grudges and fight with one another which gives Umer headaches tbh XD It keeps things lively. But don’t get onto Pakistan’s nerves too much , else he’ll snap on everyone (except for widdle ol’ Azad Kashmir vuv)
