Regarding the Amazing Digital Circus (rant + announcement).
Guys I'm gonna like, have to ban talking about TADC here until stuff dies down because I keep seeing the worst of the fandom and everyone keeps getting into discourse and instead of attacking people while in a pissed off mindset I'm gonna actually be responsible and just filter out the tag. Sorry about this.
Everytime I see a Jax trans denier and a Jax trans defender clash, an angel loses a feather. My wings are gone bro.
But the thing is, the issue is on BOTH SIDES. Like, please stop harassing people other opinions. I respect Jax's trans identity and all, but I feel like some Jax fans are going too far in what they're saying to the deniers. Let people have opinions even if they enrage you. It's okay to debate, but actively saying rude things or starting discourse IS NEVER the answer.
Again, in no way am I trying to be transphobic, but you guys need to chill out. She's a fictional character, and I understand relating to her or kinning her or whatever, but just please be responsible.
And my whole stance on this, just in case you guys try to jump me (/silly) or something, is that Jax is a complex character and her identity is an interesting theme, but TADC's writing AS A WHOLE could have been better - including Jax. This is only a short summary of what I believe, but anyway.
I just want to make this announcement just because I don't want to spread any negativity to this blog and, from what I've seen, the fandom can be toxic at times. It's gotten to the point where I'm sick of it and I can't enjoy the media anymore.
Thanks for reading, and I'll probably engage with the fandom when it like. Calms down or whatever. For the time being, please avoid mentioning anything about it on this blog. I don't mind if TADC fans view my content, tho. Just don't bring it up as a major topic here or whatever.
