Servamp of Melancholy headcanons
I love him sm (╥﹏╥) and there's so little content bout him sooo I made some myself. Hope y'all enjoy ♡
• "Kitten" or "little star" is Tsubaki's go-to nickname for his partner. It's teasing, it's affectionate, and he says it with that signature smirk but if you listen closely, you can hear he actually means it.
• He plays with your hair CONSTANTLY. Not in a smooth, romantic way more like a bored cat swatting at a dangling string. He'll twist it, braid it terribly, stick little flowers in it when you're not looking, and then act offended when you catch him. "What? It was begging for attention."
• He has a terrible habit of photobombing. Anytime you try to take a cute selfie, his face just appears in the frame....grinning, making bunny ears behind your head, or mid-bite into whatever you're eating. His camera roll is 90% blurred pictures of you and 10% blurry pictures of himself making stupid faces.
• He sleeps like a starfish. You'll wake up with his leg thrown over you, one arm across your face, and his head somehow on your stomach. He snores lightly, but if you try to move, he'll pull you back with a sleepy mumble of "Nope. Kitten stays. zzz"
• He uses "Kitten" as a weapon in arguments. The moment you're slightly annoyed at him, he'll lean in, bat his eyelashes, and purr "Aww, is Kitten mad at me?" just to watch you sputter. Then he'll burst out laughing and hug you from behind before you can escape.
• He remembers EVERY tiny detail you tell him. You mentioned once that you liked a specific candy as a kid? Suddenly, he shows up with a vintage bag of it, shrugging like "Oh, this old thing? Just happened to find it." He acts aloof, but he's cataloging your happiness like a treasure hoard.
• His fox form is an absolute menace. He'll curl up in your lap all cute and fluffy... for exactly 4 seconds. Then he gets bored, bites your sleeve, and wiggles away ,, only to come back 2 minutes later demanding more pets. Rinse and repeat. He's a cat in a fox's body, and he knows it.
• The geta are his built-in warning system. You always hear him coming like clack, clack, clack- so there's no such thing as a surprise Tsubaki attack. Unless he takes them off and sneaks up on you, which he does specifically to watch you jump. Then he cackles, gets bored of your reaction mid-laugh, and walks away saying "Meh."
• He laughs at literally anything you say. You: "I need to buy milk." Him: wheezing, doubling over, tears forming "AHAHAHA-- milk--that's--hahaha-" Then, mid-laugh, his face goes completely deadpan. "...Boring." And he just walks away in his geta, leaving you confused and holding a grocery list.
• He once laughed at a pigeon for 30 seconds straight. The pigeon just existed. That was it. Then he got bored of the pigeon, flicked it away with his haori sleeve, and declared pigeons "overrated." You still bring this up to embarrass him.
• He trips over his own geta constantly. Not gracefully. Full-on anime face-plant. He'll lie there for a moment, then burst out laughing at his own stupidity, laugh until he's bored of his own joke, and then just... stay on the ground staring at the ceiling until you help him up. He won't ask. He'll just wait.
• His melancholy means he gets quietly sad when you leave. He won't show it. He'll laugh loudly as you go, wave dramatically with his haori sleeve, and say "Finally! Peace and quiet!" But the second you're out of sight, his smile drops. He'll sit alone, until you come back....at which point he'll pretend he was totally fine and definitely didn't miss you.
...When you return, he hugs you like he's been waiting forever and presses a soft kiss to your lips gently , almost shy. Then he looks away, ears red, muttering "...Don't get used to that." But you both know he'll do it again. And again. And again.
