BEWARE: SPOILERS AHEAD FOR CAPTAIN MARVEL AND AVENGERS 4 TRAILERS!
If you are a Marvel fan, I’m pretty sure Christmas came a LOT sooner than expected. Not only did we get a new trailer for Captain Marvel last week, but the very highly anticipated trailer for the formerly untitled Avengers 4 as well! Plus there have been rumors floating around the internet that we are also getting our first look at Spider-Man Far From Home before Christmas! However today I’ll be giving my thoughts on the trailers we did get!
Captain Marvel Trailer
Marvel’s first female-led movie just got even more exciting after that second trailer. We got a little bit more of the story in this one, without spoiling any major plot details (in my opinion). We see Carol in the subway fighting a Skrull and it just looked funny to me, because that ‘old lady’ kicked some serious ass. Then we see some of Nick Fury with Carol, The Kree planet (which looks stunning!), Carol looking like a BADASS using her insanely powerful superpowers (bye bye Thanos) and even some more of Jude Law’s character. I still have no idea who he is playing, but my guess is that he isn’t one of the good guys. Although we didn’t get to see Phil Coulson in this one, which was a shame. What I loved seeing in both the first trailer and this one were the shots of Carol at the air base. I love Top Gun, so this is giving me major Top Gun vibes! Even her cat is named Goose (coincidence? I don’t think so). Speaking of cats, how great was that bit at the end with Nick Fury and Goose! I saw a tweet on twitter saying that Goose is the reason Nick lost his eye, how funny would that be?
Anyways I’m so excited and hyped for this movie, so March can’t come fast enough! Here are my favorite shots from the trailer:

Avengers 4 Trailer
After months of begging, waiting, speculation and failing miserably trying to be patient (or that was just me?), we finally have a trailer AND title for the next Avengers movie! I don’t even know what to say about this other than WOW. This trailer lived up to the immense hype! It now is the most viewed trailer in 24 hours with a massive 289 million views. Why? Well, that’s easy, everyone who has seen Infinity War wants to know what is going happen next. What’s happening next? I couldn’t tell you, not even after that trailer. Quite frankly I am super happy about this! While there are so many theories about how Thanos’ snap can be undone, no one knows anything for sure. I hope it’ll all stay a surprise, I want to be shocked when April finally arrives. So what did we see in the trailer? It starts with a very depressing scene of Tony recording a goodbye message to Pepper on what looked to be the Guardians’ ship. He says that he ran out of water and food 4 days ago and the oxygen will run out tomorrow. Please don’t die, Tony... If that wasn’t enough to have you crying he says that part of the journey is the end and that when he’ll drift off, he’ll think about Pepper... Marvel is already making us emotional but of course, they won’t let us forget about all the characters that got ‘dusted’ in IW. How? Well, they just dusted the logo, thanks for the reminder Marvel. After that, we only got 1 shot of Thanos. First, you see his armor, which now being used as a scarecrow, which is hilarious. There are already so many memes about farmer Thanos! Then you see his hand just touching his plants/crop. However it seems like the gauntlet has sort of attached to skin somehow, don’t quote me on this, that’s just what I’m seeing here. We then see the other Avengers that survived at the Avengers compound, including Steve, Natasha, Thor, and Bruce. They all look so defeated, Steve is even crying. There was one thing that stood out in Bruce’s shot. Before the screen changes to Peter’s picture (I miss you!), you see SHURI. Does this mean that she got snapped away as well?! I really, really hope she didn’t. I love Steve’s line when he says they have all lost something, even a part of themselves. Then who do we get to see?! CLINT! Yay, he’s back! Although he seems to have gone on a bit of a dark path. Even Natasha looked shocked to see him like this. However, the reveal was so awesome! We can also see 1 of the 2 surviving Guardians, Nebula. She seems to be on the ship with Tony. Where is Rocket though?! So from what we can hear, they do have some sort of plan as you can see Nat and Steve talking about how this plan is going to work. I’m very curious to see what they plan on doing. Soon after we finally get that title, Avengers Endgame! The Russo’s even said that this wasn’t the title, so I kind of thought this definitely wasn’t it. My bets were on Annihilation. This just goes to show how unpredictable Marvel is. The final shot is a bit of comedic relief with Scott! To me it looks like he got out of the Quantum Realm and went to the Avengers compound for help, I guess.
So that was the trailer, I have watched it a lot of times by now and I still get chills every time. The music helps a lot too, it’s so dramatic, I love it! I’m scared, nervous, excited and feeling all the feels.

So these are my thoughts on all the Marvel trailers we got last week! I really had a lot of fun writing this, so I will definitely be doing a post on the Spider-Man Far From Home trailer when that drops! Maybe even other movies in the future. I hope you enjoyed it & thank you so much for reading!
