Irene, back in her time after Anastasia's defeat, missing the Feudal Era- and a certain demon lord. In Movie 2 style! Since... everyone will be dealing with Kaguya after Irene vanishes, lol, and it's the only way I can draw Irene in this particular art style since she isn't there. The end of the plot for Secret of the Cursed Mask is gonna be the start of Castle Beyond the Looking Glass.
She will be there for Movies 3 and 4, though! Which I shall be taking so many creative liberties with.
Anyways.
The necklace Irene is wearing is one she makes herself, so she can have a reminder of Sesshomaru wherever she goes since it's a bit awkward wearing kimonos in modern day in the middle of America. Something that annoys her greatly, as she wants to wear the kimonos Sesshomaru gave her, but alas. People are mean and exhausting.
Just a WIP for funsies (and mostly as a way to cope with all the insanity currently happening IRL since Inuyasha is a big comfort show of mine) where Anastasia goes after Sesshomaru, and Irene gets REAL FREAKING PISSED OFF at her for it, lol. Is this an encounter that will actually happen in-fic?
...Mayhaps. 👀
But we're not really close enough to that encounter yet for me to actually color everything, so it's just gonna remain a WIP until I actually GET to writing that chapter, lol.

The funny chapter title alternatives are, "Irene's Very Bad, Not So Good, Terrible Day" "Dog Demon? More Like Guard Dog: Achievement Unlocked" "Sesshomaru's Very Weird Day Out" "Sesshomaru Is So Deep In Denial He's Drowning" and "Sesshomaru Terrorizes Everyone Around Him".
But we get to meet Chidori, Kogane, and Sess' mama!!!! And Irene gets to see Sess in full doggo form. So YIPPEE!!!

I kid you not, this took me like three hours. The speed in which I made this, alskjfjdlkjfldkjfldkjfd. The background is kinda really hecking terrible, but, y'know what, for three hours and backgrounds that aren't forests being incredibly difficult for me to do, I did my best and I'm vaguely satisfied with the result, lol. I mostly just wanted to draw Sess, Irene, and Rin looking up at the stars, lol.
As you can tell by the lyrics at the top... I have Barbie Rapunzel's lullaby on my brain, aslkfjjdlfkjdlfjkdlfd. I think it might be a fitting song Irene might sing to Rin at some point. Probably after she comes back to the Feudal Era to stay.

Sess randomly thinking about the theme of family and gets jump scared by a image of Irene in her new kimono and Rin.
Soon after, he deludes himself into thinking that this image only appeared because Irene loves Rin too much, and it started to become noticeable in his thoughts.

Poor Sess over here not wanting to admit he has a human wife and adoptive daughter 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the denial goes so deep. But he’ll admit it… eventually. 👀
