limestone ace, or 'limey' to their friends: a cave exploration robot! [ace is a term a friend of mine uses for nonbinary robot masters instead of man/woman - i know they'd probably just be called 'x master' but it's too late i love the idea and i'm using it.] one day an unexpected rockfall caused them to get trapped deep underground, and damaged their internal radio enough that they couldn't call for help or teleport back someplace safe. multiple failed search efforts and unanswered search calls led to them being presumed dead, and after a while they ceased to function due to lack of power

after a couple years, dr. wily found them while preparing to cause problems on purpose and reactivated them. they'd been down there long enough for their body to erode slightly, letting cave moss and mushrooms grow over them and into their circuits, so while they still function they have a whole host of problems due to both the physical mess in their body and the trauma from being left alone in the dark for so long. their physical movements tend to be erratic and lacking in fine motor control thanks to their joints being rusted or overgrown, and they often get stuck repeating a single word or action or automatically read internal error logs out loud. they were always prone to getting a bit lost in their thoughts, but the overwhelming anxiety and loneliness limestone experienced underground caused this to evolve into maladaptive daydreaming and dissociation. when they're reactivated, all the cave gunk growing in their system has pretty badly blocked up the circuits that let them differentiate imagined scenarios from reality, which when combined with their increased penchant for fantasising or getting caught up in their memories basically manifests as psychosis

they do get a happy ending, though! they deserve it. after being defeated they're completely rebuilt and get their systems all cleaned up, fixing their physical issues and significantly [albeit not completely] improving their grasp on reality. while they've developed intense claustrophobia and a fear of the dark, pretty effectively preventing them from returning to their old job, they're putting their knowledge to use as a lab assistant on the same team they used to go cave diving for so that they don't have to be decommissioned. all their old friends are overjoyed to have them back, and provide the emotional support limestone needs to manage their trauma and continued dissociative episodes

1. does your oc have a voice claim?

voice claims are actually pretty hard for me because 1. i don't know my voice actors very well and 2. the voices i have for them in my head are rarely just a specific other guy, they usually end up being a combination of tone and accent and inflection from a couple different sources. but as a variant on this question because i do find oc voice stuff really fun here's some stuff about how a few of them talk!

drum's voice is raspy, like it's used for yelling more than it's supposed to be. she always has that classic no-good sarcastic teenager inflection to her voice, even when she's being a little more sincere.

tide is quiet and mumbly, like he's always expecting to be spoken over, and [projection alert] has the specific flavour of australian accent that sounds explosively aussie to most foreigners but charmingly stifled to other australians

sweet sounds less like she's speaking and more like she's Being Voice Acted

glass is particularly soft-spoken. doesn't vary his vocal tone much, usually only when he's surprised. tends towards british pronunciation more than other robot masters, but also has the traces of a russian accent that all dr cossack's creations have inherited to some degree.

3. what song describes your oc?

i don't have many theme song claims, at least not vocal ones, but:

MONSTER is a hex song to me, it's definitely up to listener interpretation how sympathetic the singer is supposed to be but i like to read it as being about someone making excuses to tear a relationship to shreds so that the other person can't leave them first. which is like The problem that hex has

deep core from forgotten middle child of sonic on ds sonic rush adventure has been my boss theme claim for drum [or more specifically for sforzando, her and bass' combined form] pretty much since day one. i love you deep core from sonic rush adventure

bonus oc i never post about round!! bill wurtz's more than a dream feels like it was written specifically for limestone, hex's sibling from the powered up numbers who got trapped in a cave-in and ended up with moss growing over their extremely critical processing circuitry [it's ok they get better]
