Kouki blinked blankly as he stared at the display of white boards and markers. He then moved his gaze down to his own board and marker, which were gleaming slightly in the light. His mother and father, as well as some of his friends had told him that he might need to buy a new board eventually. His current board, while not broken or even in bad condition, had several scratches and worn corners. Not to mention, the ink from the markers had started to stain the surface permanently, making it harder to erase with each use.
But Kouki didn't want to rid of his board. It was really special to him, given the fact that his therapist had given it to him when he decided to become mute. He was just a simple design, light blue with Pokemon designs on it. However, it held a spot in his heart, one that couldn't be taken away by something else.
Only now, he realized that he did have to think about possibly getting another one. His current was was starting to show its age. And that really upset Kouki. Biting his bottom lip for a moment, he sniffed a bit before bringing a hand up and wiping his eyes.
While he was busy trying to pull himself together, he heard someone walk up beside him, stopping beside him for some reason. Sniffling for a bit, Kouki brought his hand away from his face and looked over towards the stranger. Sniffing again, he tilted his head a bit and wrote down a message for the person to read. [Umm...was there something...that you needed?]
