Many of us love historical fashion and maybe even adore wearing it, but are perhaps a little afraid to dive into sewing our own historical clothing. Just a year ago, I was terrified of making my own historical dress, but I finally took the plunge and it was so worth it!

In this video, I simplify the process of developing your historical toolkit by discussing the 10 essential sewing tools you will need to make historical clothing. For those just starting out with hand sewing or historical sewing, it might feel overwhelming not knowing which tools to buy. Historical dress often utilises hand-sewing techniques, and some of the tools needed are more specialised. This video explains the essentials, along with a few bonus tools in case you have a bigger budget. This is the first video in the playlist series “Historical Sewing for Beginners”.

A LOVELY WONDERFUL GIFT!!!

Quinny has carved and crafted a sewing tool kit herself to give as a special gift to Hem and Abdul; Each accessory has been made by herself, in great detail and with ALL HER LOVE!!

Hem's face and gestures say it all! She is so EXCITED that she says to Abdul: "Oh my dear!! hold on tight to my waist and don't let me go!! I'm going to pass out!!!" (she starts to shake and let out a big scream) That is why we see her so attached to her beloved; hem is extremely sensitive!! Abdul is also very excited, but his character is more taciturn and calm, he controls himself better.

Quinny is always very detailed and loving with her friends, she loves them very much!!
