Just wrapped up this thrift store conversion project. We took a zipper vest and skirt and turned it into a shield maiden outfit for this weekends The Renaissance Faire at Sleepy Hollow (also next two weekends). We used over 200 grommets and several yards of leather cording. The cincher belt is made of strips of a textured suede and suede scraps from the top and skirt.
