A night out with her husband sounded like a good plan. They’d both been so busy, and she’d even tried to keep certain meetings to when he was working. Serena couldn’t even remember the last time they had a night to themselves. Her parents were gracious enough to take the kids for the night, so it was just her and Dylan. But as she made her way inside the house, she was met with a far different sight than she was expecting. “I take it we’re staying in tonight?” she teased as she went to pour herself a drink after kicking her heels off. It was moments like this that made her love him, she just wished that it was stronger than the love she’d had for Aaron. “You do give the best surprises.”
