Acapella, Sexibition, and Other Good Times
Happy Tuesday!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. The weather is getting nicer, which is a HUGE plus. (In case you haven’t noticed already, I am very much so a California girl who needs her California sunshine). The high yesterday was around the mid-50s, which was warm enough for me to wear a sundress in what feels like forever. It’s raining today but I have all of my fingers and toes crossed that the sun will come back out soon…
This weekend was quite an eventful one for me. One of my good friends, Erin, had her best friend from Indiana pay a visit. We all hung out and that was really nice. Friday night I went to an Acapella concert at Amherst College, and was pretty impressed to say the least. I am the worst singer (except in the shower, which is when I sound like my spirit animal Beyonce) so to hear such nice sounds coming out of peoples’ mouths is really cool. Afterwards, my friend picked me up and we drove back to Smith but of course made a pitstop at Sam’s Pizza, which is open until 3 am on friday and saturday nights I think. Either way it was a great idea and I somehow managed to get up early the next morning and go to Awesome Abs.
Saturday was one of the funner days I’ve had in a while. My good friends Lizzie, Laura, and I took our sexibition photos. Basically what this is, is an exhibition showing all different types of bodies and promoting self love. Their website from last year says, "Prism challenges artists and models to surpass their own conceptions of sex and beauty, encapsulating the diverse artistic and expressive community that Smith is."
I’ve never done a photo shoot before so I was a little nervous but was able to curb it once my other friend Melissa started taking the photos. I’ll definitely upload a few of them once she’s done editing, but it was a BLAST.
Sunday funday=homework day. I also have a take-home test for Calc this week, which has been more than a blast to work on. (someone really needs to invent a sarcasm font)
Now I’ve just been running around and figuring out my spring break plans. I think I’m going to UPenn to hang out with my good friend there for a few days and then I’m heading up to NYC to spend some time there. One of my talents is making last minute plans and changing current plans so I will keep you all updated with what I actually end up doing.
Wow, sorry that this is such a long post! Didn’t realize that I had this much to say about two days.
PS. check out my friends’ tumblrs and follow them! they are ROCKSTARS
Xoxo,
Eva
