How did you like the show!!! I personally thought their performance was AMAZING (Yankee Stadium itself left something to be desired it wasn’t a super great venue but the boys killed it anyways!) I was not normal when they played goodnight and goodbye or when you look me in the eyes 🥹🥹 joe jonas my first bias, they even gave us lil lightstick wristbands

omg it was AMAZING!!! they really crammed so many songs into it and god joe is THE og 😭😭😭 he sounded soooo phenomenal it was crazy!!! i was so tempted to bring my nachimbong but the ppl i went with know nothing about kpop and i didn’t want to deal with explaining it 5 times lmao but omg the boys were soooo amazing and their band was crazyyyy they really took the five albums one night thing very literally lmao i can’t believe it lmao

I recently finished watching the boys s2 as well, and I do not know how to feel about the whole thing. It was definitely super misogynistic for one (if it tried to satirise misogyny in hero media.. it did a really bad job of it) and while I like the exploration of evil superman with Homelander... he’s.. really disgusting. Still gunna watch season 3 tho lmaaao

Yeah. I mean it’s the whole point, they’re all terrible people and all that but it makes the show hard to really like. Also thought they were going a liiiittle overboard with all the head explosions, heads being ripped off, ripped open, squished and mutilated. Like, I get it. But the more violence you throw at me like this the less impact it has after a while.

I’ll keep watching, especially ‘cause I want to see Jensen as Soldier Boy. But it’s definitely one of those shows where I would be really side-eyeing someone if they said it’s their favorite.

Ahhh! To answer the question about how I got into kpop, it was way back in 2009 and it was a Shinee song! I don't exactly remember which one but I very distinctly remember watching Lucifer in 2010, and then falling into Super Junior and Big Bang and 2PM and 2ne1! LMAO I remember watching No Other by Suju for the first time and my gay ass thinking "wow maybe i would want a boyfriend" HELP!! I feel a bit sad about it because I've been into the music for such a long time but didn't actually know about/engage with the fandom until late 2021 when I got into Stray Kids :-( All those years enjoying the groups and songs and I didn't even know there were variety shows and games and lightsticks and fan chants and a whole culture surrounding kpop. Literally did not even fully learn all the names of Shinee until Jonghyun because I just didn't know or think to :-( it makes me really sad, though there are some things I did get to watch like a few of the early '10s MAMAs! I am making up for it now though!!

Actually, I posted my first ask anonymously but you know what I'm super happy about this! This year I met the man of my dreams that I will definitely marry in the future! I already feel like he's my husband and I hope next year we'll grow even closer still!! :-)
