The spiders have something for being all together, always in clusters. This helps them to face stressful or dangerous situations, feeling safe being together. It also helps them endure high or low temperatures.
Now, when Peter started dating Tony, he happily thought he wouldn't have to suffer from this problem, or need, anymore. Unfortunately, he did not consider how gentlemanly Tony would be at the beginning of their relationship, all because of the guilt he felt of going out with someone 30 years younger.
Then, instead of feeling better being hugged by his boyfriend's strong arms, Peter felt increasingly restless and lonely.
What led him to have a small collapse…
After a long day of enduring Flash's pullas, Peter headed to the Tower so he could spend a few hours with Tony before he had to go on patrol. But when he arrived at the attic he was greeted as always by the familiar voice of F.R.I.D.A.Y and the discouraging news that Tony had an emergency in the office and would not return until late at night. What turned out to be the straw that broke the camel's back so that Peter will start crying there in the middle of the living room, getting small and crawling until his back was recharged with the lower part of the sofa.
He didn't know if hours or minutes passed but when Tony found him after being alerted by F.R.I.D.A.Y about Peter having a collapse in his living room, he could only feel strong arms lifting him and taking him to a wide and soft surface where he was pampered between sheets and kisses all over his face and neck.
At some point his arachnid sense must have relaxed so much because of the contact that he fell asleep. Since when he woke up he found himself still buried in Tony's chest, while he looked at him with poorly hidden concern and tenderness.
"I should have known that you, my spoiled little one, are a touch starved”
“I thought you knew that spiders we are..”
"Well, now I know and I'll make sure there's not a single part of you that I don't touch every day. It’s a promise”
The only promise that Tony would fulfill in his life.
