Why?: Out of Columbus, OH, Jeni's has a commitment--no, an insane drive--to make the best ice cream on the planet. And they're succeeding. They use heavy cream from cows who eat only grass, and only get ingredients when they're in season. I hate it, because my favorite, Roasted Strawberry Buttermilk is only available from June through September (depending on how fast it sells).
If you're in Columbus, head to a scoop shop for an after-dinner treat with your lady friend. The trio is perfect for my fat ass, but the smaller sizes are easy on your wallet and her tummy.
If you're not in Columbus, you can order online and have it quickly delivered to her doorstep. It's perfect for all occasions, and really is the best ice cream in the world.
