It’s only my second time doing Square Jaw Reduction via Botox ( Dysport® (botulinumtoxinA) a prescription injection used to address my square jaw )
For those whom aren’t familiar with Botox, tends to think that botox is only meant to reduce "Crow's-Feet “ or some other facial wrinkles. Truth is, you can use it to reduce your jaw size.
How? Imagine your jaw muscles, you’ve been eating and chewing for the past decades, how “big” the muscles grow over these years?
One way to feel your jaw muscles is to put your fingers on the sides of your jaw and clench. You should feel the muscles tensing up or moving then. Especially those whom have tendency to grind their teeth during sleep should have more prominent jaw muscles. The theory is exactly like how body builder's muscles become bigger and bulkier over time.
Why botox can reduce our jaw size? Botox relaxes the muscles at the area, stopped it from "exercising" and naturally when muscles stop moving as much, it loses the muscles/mass over time. Some people takes as fast as 3 weeks to see result, for me it takes about 1 - 2 months to see the significant difference. (pretty average time needed)
I approached Dr Dylan from Celevenus Aesthetic Clinic during July 2019 and told him I needed a “slimmer face/V-shape” face and that’s when he advise on using Dysport® (botulinumtoxinA) to help me achieve the results.
