The SGIM 38th Annual Meeting
A board-certified internist, George Mathew, MD, provides high-quality primary care and internal medicine to patients at Pacific Family & Internal Medicine, which he has owned since 2013. Dedicated to staying abreast of new developments and advancements within the field, George Mathew, MD, belongs to several professional organizations, including the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM). A national medical society, SGIM has 3,000 physician members who serve as internal medicine faculty at major teaching hospitals and medical school in America. Committed to achieving health care delivery that is individualized and technologically advanced, the organization hosts an annual meeting for both members and non-members. The SGIM Annual Meeting is designed to give members and non-members the chance to meet colleagues, network, and discuss and present new findings within the field. The SGIM 38th Annual Meeting will take place in Toronto, Canada, between April 22 and April 25, 2015. Titled Generalists in Teams: Adding Value to Patient Care, Research and Education, it will give attendees the opportunity to learn about such topics as changing education and training requirements, evolving team-based patient care models, and the coordination between physicians and professionals who are non-physicians. Registration fees for the meeting are cheaper for members than non-members, and include special discounted prices for international attendees.
