I’m watching a Malec fan video (which I will share) but it reminds me of something that bothered me with You are not Your Own. 

Even after Magnus!Valentine told Alec things that happened/were said in private, Alec wasn’t convinced that he was Magnus and was thisclose to killing his beloved. It took Valentine!Magnus appearing with Jace to finally get through to him. 

When I first saw the episode, I was waiting for Alec to believe M!V and to try to get him out of the prison but was greatly disappointed when that didn’t happen. 

I have a while until I get to re watch it, so maybe I’ll see things differently the second time around.
