Sonia, being the nice teammate that she was, volunteered to help write the addresses. "Dona Hemady," she suddenly said. "This is where Nestle Ice Cream is!" I was standing nearby, with my mind adrift while watching them work. But when their conversation pierced my fogged mind, i just had to say "Dun din yung Magnolia Ice Cream House!" Upon hearing this, Sonia went into Homer Simpson mode and said "mmmm... magnolia... tara!" With Sonia, Bones and lactose-intolerant-Ruby, i found one of my most feel-good places in manila. mmmmm... strawberry magnolia ice creammmmm.... *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* 03 June 2008 My 2nd to the last hearing for Summer OLA. The day started with the opposing counsel biting my ass in open court just because i didn't have a supervising lawyer! I don't recall that day getting any better as it progressed so as a bandaid to my sad soul, at around 5pm, TL, Sonia and I decided to troop to Magnolia again. After 2 scoops of strawberry ice cream, a day that started so wrong, ended so right. Happiness... mmmm, strawberry ice creammmm... I then learned to never underestimate the power of Magnolia ice cream. The End.
