Skye was flying a helicopter around the island. Nothing felt better than the wind rushing in her hair. “Woohoo! Ollie, soon you’ll love this!” The magical creature was sulking in hat form near the joystick. All of a sudden, A strange call arrived on her phone. She put the chopper into hover mode and answered. “This is Skye, what do you need?” The teen asked.

“Hello, Skye... I see you are taking my helicopter out for a spin?”

“What? This is the shark choppe-”

“NOPE! I parked it there just so you would take it. And now...” The strange person hung up. As Skye put the phone down, she could just hear the sounds of remote explosives being primed. Before she could even put ollie back on, the helicopter blew. Above Frenzy Farm, she targeted the pile of hay near her through the sky and miraculously she landed, not without injures though. Her leg was sprained and her earpiece had broken. Skye also had many cuts and bruises on her. Crawling across the ground she accepted her death.

Отзыв: Да, сама бы я книгу не выбрала для себя (хотя я уже не помню, когда последний раз читала книгу, выбрав ее сама, так что это не показатель). Но если судить ее объективно, она действительно весьма оригинальная и довольно интересная. Не знаю, насколько эта книга заинтересует читателей, но во времена всевозможной толерантности зарубежом книга, скорее всего, станет настоящим хитом с высоченным рейтингом (хотя бы потому, что большинство будет бояться ставить низкие оценки и писать плохие отзывы, как, например, происходит с книгой The Hate U Give). Что же касается не столь толерантной России, в частности подростков, на которых, в большей степени, и рассчитала эта книга… Трудно сказать, я не уверенна, что они уже готовы покупать и читать такие книги. Но можно, конечно, сделать ставку на оригинальность.
