and book three (was this supposed to be a trilogy originally? it feels like it was meant to be a trilogy) ends in the only way it could:
with an overwrought angel metaphor
Alec looked mournfully down at his sweater. "It was black," he said. "But then it faded." "You could dress it up with a sequined headband," Magnus suggested, offering his boyfriend something blue and sparkly. "Just a thought." "Resist the urge, Alec." Simon was sitting on the edge of a low wall with Maia beside him, though she appeared to be deep in conversation with Aline. "You'll look like Olivia Newton-John in Xanadu." "There are worse things," Magnus observed.
WORD, magnus. who wouldn't want to look like this
It was hard to miss Magnus-he was wearing a splash-painted white T-shirt over rainbow leather trousers
well this is an excellent start to the Magnus Fashion Watch, possibly my favourite thing about these books
well i am not THRILLED about the sloppily-justified over-margined pdf i just found
but at least it has PUNCTUATION
okay book three is on hold for the time being
as the copy i have
is completely lacking apostrophes, quotation marks, and dashes/hyphens
i don't want books reminiscent of THAT kind of bad fanfic ok
my belly is fed and i am content
NOW i can embark upon my book-3 journey
well
*dusts off hands*
that's book two done. would have finished sooner if not for other life stuff getting in the way. probs won't tackle #3 just yet, i need some recharge time in between each one i think, lest too much concentrated Plot Thickening overwhelms me
