#DigitalSpotlight 11: is Christina Ung
Christina Ung's lyrical paintings are timeless, nostalgic, dynamic, and poetic. But while her fluid lines and limited palette are reminiscent of early 20th century printmaking and illustration, her viewpoint and methodology is entirely contemporary. She says of her work "The majority of my illustrations are done digitally on Photoshop. I sketch on my computer, line my work on my computer (on rare occasions, I sometimes ink my work with black indian ink) and then I would proceed to colour it in Photoshop." I love her figures and forms, but also how she pulls me into her images with sweet sentimentality, and then haunts my memories with biting sarcasm.

As an artist and author, one of my favorite roles is that of curator. For my books I’m always looking for wonderful artists and designers to work with. And so I decided to not wait for a book, but just to get the word out about some wonderful digital artists.
