wendy works as a waitress at a local diner. the pay isn't great, but the tips usually make up for it. not to mention, it gives her flexibility with her schedule. she funnels what she doesn't need for basic survival into her passion: her podcast and her ghost hunting.

she hosts a podcast where she talks about local myths and legends. she always researches her topics. however, some are listener-submitted while others she handpicks. she's picked up some traction with the podcast, but not enough to monetize it in a way that would matter. that's also not why she's doing it. she does it purely for her love of the weird and fantastical. she wants a community of people who appreciate stories about things that go bump in the night.

while the podcast can't sustain her, it's given her a decent amount of spending money a few times. as soon as this started coming in, she began saving it for ghost hunting equipment. she mostly advertises her services online, and she hasn't had any encounters yet, but she's trying to get her ghost-hunting business off of the ground.
