The Sea and the Storm (abbreviated TSatS) is an 18+ Warrior Cats-inspired roleplay run over discord. The Sea and the Storm follows the cats of a singular clan, Bluffclan, located on the coast of Alaska, as they struggle to survive in the unforgiving environment. In this roleplay, the main challenges faced by the clan do not come from other clowders, but instead from other predators who are equally desperate to thrive in the territory they call home.

Cameras, kokeshi dolls, and volleyball. Agnès’ little world revolves around this holy trilogy, on the road that separates her father’s kokeshi dolls workshop from the school’s gym, and seen through the lens of the camera she carries around everywhere. Born in a rural town in Miyagi to a Japanese father and a Belgian mother, Agnès has always been keenly aware that she was a little different from her peers; and warded off the unwanted attention by hiding behind the camera her mother put in her hands - look at them so that they don’t look at you. And boy, does she hold onto that principle, stubbornly filming and taking photos of everything she lays eyes upon, categorically refusing to part with her camera for more than three consecutive seconds (”ozu, can you look up from that thing when we’re walking home?” “no ✨ ”). The only place where she deigns putting the camera down is on the volleyball court; a sport she discovered in middle school, while filming a match for the school’s volleyball club. Intrigued, she decided to give it a try, and has not looked back since. Despite her height, jumps are not her forte; the ground is where she truly shines, covering mroe area with those long limbs, and as stubborn in not letting the ball touch the ground as she is in her filmmaking endeavours. Starting off as a defense specialist, she is scouted for Niiyama highschool, where she becomes the starting libero. From the back row, she runs a strong defense, and made it her specialty to break the opponent’s flow by interrupting particularly long and fast rallies, and tilting the balance back in her team’s favour. Shy might be one way of describing her at first glance; but it usually doesn’t take long before her more indomitable spirit starts to show: persistent (a bit too much), bossy, quick to jump to conclusions, curious, communicative - driven by a desire to connect and fit in, yet only feeling like she can do it from behind a camera, or behind a volleyball. 

After highschool, Agnès continues to play volleyball at an amateur level, and becomes a celebrated documentary filmmaker. As of 2021, the Japan Volleyball Association have commissioned her to make a film about Japan’s volleyball teams.
