i feel like coop just like. doesn't address lucy at all for a minute. in the sense of if he's talking, he figures it's assumed he's talking to her. maybe he'll be like 'hey, vaultie, get the fuck over here' lmfao or smth like that. and obvs 'sweetie/sweetheart' is like. a mid-sentence filler kinda thing not smth he'd address her by lol. more likely he's just like 'hey you!' or smth. i just don't see him addressing her by her name tbh. maybe her last name but not 'lucy'. it's as much a distancing thing for his own sake as it is feeling as if that's too familiar for him to call her that. like they're not friends (to start) and it feels somehow rude to him to call her 'lucy' w/o building up to it ig? like he has to 'earn' the right to address her so casually....
