Seeing Kiki’s familiar face caused the vampire to smile, gripping the steering wheel a bit tightly. His body slightly trembled from excitement, even though the two were only going to the store.
As Kiki fastened herself into the passenger seat, he looked over his shoulder to the empty backseat. “Ah, yes. The caskets go back there...it seems w-we needn’t worry about space for the groceries.”
Hearing the wiccan’s excitement, Garridan reached over to lower the already quiet music, allowing for them to speak more clearly. Adjusting his gears, he turned back as he slowly backed out of the car. Despite his timid nature, it seemed he had no problem with driving the elongated vehicle.
“I mean...I w-would agree, it can be quite interesting. Though most of the time...” He focused on the road as he began to drive out of the complex. “...most of the time people aren’t too...well, thrilled about death as w-we are.”
As he focused on the road, Garridan seemed to enter a calmer state of mind. His grip on the steering wheel relaxed as the city seemed to enter its usually enthusiastic nightlife scene. “Yes, I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better...Mr.Dabrowski was...ah, w-when he told me I felt so guilty that I couldn’t be there.” He bit into his lower lip, lightly chewing as he seemed to multi-task with focusing and conversation.
“Unfortunately, that night I had a service...but you w-weren’t alone. How nice of Mr.Dabrowski.” His eyes slightly widened as Kiki mentioned wanting to invite Stanislav, and he let out a quiet, albeit nervous giggle.
“Oh, Mr.Dabrowski would hate to...be pulled away...from his work. I don’t think he likes shopping all that much...” A pressing question entered his mind; and seeing Kiki so happy and enthusiastic towards his king, he couldn’t help but ask.
“You don’t have to answer, but ah...you two seem to be...close lately. Is there any...any particular reason?” Immediately, the blond began to apologize. “I’m sorry; that w-was so out of line...I just...w-well, I’m curious and...you’re my friend...I’d never force you to answer, I can respect it if you don’t--”
“Well I suppose I just find death interesting, though I understand others not being the biggest fans” She shrugs her shoulders as she glanced around the car taking In it’s interior. “There’s no need to feel bad I totally understand plus you’re right I wasn’t alone and hates to be pulled away?” She raises her brow glancing over. “You make it sound like he’s impossible to pull away from work.... like sure he’s a workaholic I won’t deny that but I’ve managed to get him away from work several times”. It wasn’t until the next question left his mouth that had Kikis eyes widening. Her entire body froze and she felt her heartbeat pick up. “I uh well I mean pft I...I dunno” she wasn’t normally one to stamper over words so this display was embarrassing to her. She finally managed to get herself together and coughed. “He’s a very nice interesting person and fun to hang around so yeah....” she glanced out the passenger side window at the nightlife passing by. Her hands resting in her lap as she bumped her shoe tips together. “I mean you’d know you guys have been friends for a way longer time now though your friendship is a bit weird....”
