In 2016 I started to draw fanart more frequently, with the goal of becoming a better artist. That is also when I also started posting it online (RIP Amino, you were controversial but you were my first choice)
While I'm not sure on the exact date (though I think it was actually sometime later in the year) I thought it would be nice to look back on my art 10 years later and see the improvement.
And of course I used Fluttershy as an exapmle, because she tends to be the one character I draw whenever I'm trying something new XD Though there is one very special Twilight jumpscare mixed inbetween.

Quick Twilight interlude!
This was the very first thing I drew after downloading ibisPaint. While it looks really bad, it's still very dear to me for that reason.
I still use that app and draw with my fingers to this day.

Didn't have any good drawings of her that year, so have a very zoomed in human Fluttershy from a short comic and a screenshot from this video I made instead.
2026
From just a few weeks ago :)
Hope this post could encourage new artists just starting out like I did all those years ago.
Art takes time and everyone learns at a different pace, so be patient with yourself. Look back on your old art every once in a while, and you'll realize how far you've already come.
