It’s hard to believe we will be approaching 10 years without our beautiful Brianna. 10 years not hearing her contagious laugh or seeing her beautiful smile! I often wonder what today would be like if Brianna was with us. Would she be finishing up college classes, what is her career path and her boyfriend situation of course all the precious moments that come along with growing up. I know Bryce, Brandon and Brylie miss their sister so much! I trust that God had BIG plans for her and needed to bring her home but man it hurts us down here. I absolutely know she walks with me daily and I am so grateful for that. Remember life is short as compared to spending eternity in a real place called Heaven. All lives matter. My mom was an amazing homemaker on top of being a working woman. She loved to cook and sew and she also loved thrifting. I inherited all of those hobbies and more from her. I found these vintage items recently, one at a garage sale and one at a thrift shop. The Singer sewing cube has 70 pieces and is the cutest little swing kit I have ever seen. 😍 The recipe box is a treasure trove of the best recipes feom the 1970's. So many times throughout my days I dream of beaches like this, and of you... Of us enjoying relaxing on it together. There is no other thought I have which gives me a greater smile.

Sitting in the sand together, you leaning back against me, and me lightly holding you in my arms. The scent of the salty ocean air mixed with the taste of the salt of your skin. To feel you smile without even looking at your face. To feel you breath in an unburdened way and happy.

Then I return to my reality, a scene not as relaxing and to the knowledge I will likely never sit on a beach with you in my arms... there is a certain type of sting to that. Still I smile because I still like picturing you there enjoying it and some day I know you will.

You know it's a fun time when the tattoos come together in our hometown of Evergreen, Colorado. I love visiting my sister and being able to spend time in the beautiful place we grew up. My mom instilled in me a passion for the outdoors. I love a summer camp fire, toasting marshmallows, and telling stories. Tonight, we listen to my hubby share stories of his grandmother. We spent the day celebrating her 92 years on this earth. She had 6 kids, a dozen or so grandkids and more than half a dozen great grandchildren. My mom passed away 3 years ago today. These "milestone" dates can be kind of difficult. I was lucky enough to be able to spend the day with family in the majestic mountains where I grew up. Old memories flooded my mind and beautiful new ones were created today with the people I love most.
