day 1: Canon Divergence or AU

This is my contribution for Sheith Week 2026! I thought finishing this fanart (which I started last year when I became a huge fan of the series) would be perfect for Day 1 Canon Divergence or AU!

This is the ending I wanted for Shiro and Keith, and I hope this drawing conveys my feelings. I love the series, and I love the characters, especially Keith and Shiro, who have become my comfort ships, just as much as TimKon (another great love of my life).

Thank you so much @bangsheith for organizing this event, I can't wait for the free-themed days to post Sheith fiction!

how to take part

Create a new sheith fanwork (or several!) and post it during the event! It's okay to finish a WIP stashed on your computer.

No sign-ups needed!

All fanworks types are welcome, and they can be made in any language.

We have no general content restrictions. All genres and tropes are allowed, as well as crossovers and fusions. All ratings are okay. Just tag your work honestly so people can filter/skip!

If you plan to post in pieces across the week, plan to post the final part before the event closes.

Sneak peeks are fine, but please don’t post the whole fill until it’s sheith week!

Prompts are open to your interpretation. Post on the day that corresponds to the prompt you are filling. Go by your own timezone! If your fill includes *multiple* prompts, post on any corresponding day.

If your work does not feature a prompt, post on days 6 & 7, which are free days. You can also use these to post any remaining prompt fills!

Positively no generative AI may be used in any part of the creation of event works.

"Sea of Stars"

I made a re-do of my second piece for the #sheithpositivityweek back in 2017 - "Sea of Stars". The theme for day two was - you guessed it - "Stars". :) Man I can't believe it's been four years since I drew the original. It's been a hell of a ride.

I'm thinking about re-doing more of my older pieces. What do you guys think should get a re-do?

Would you rather have prompts that are simple one word vagues like “Sunlight, Roses, Kisses, Cuddles”

OR

Slightly abstract prompts such as: “Would you rather...” “In Spite of...” “Sometimes or Always” “Song Lyric Prompt” ETC. The ones that are more like a phrase and could go just about any way as the one liners can.
