Not my father; Sherlock x reader
Here is yet another Sherlock request I had gotten, now this one was especially difficult for me to write because so much was going on in my personal life I couldn’t find the inspiration to write it to make it feel good but thankfully I fell through and found a path I liked when I got the prompt. Now this request contains child neglect, swearing, violence, mentions of drug use so BEWARE. Anyways I hope u all enjoy this request either way.

It was all an experiment to him. Years before he became the infamous High functioning sociopathic detective "Sherlock Holmes", he was a High functioning sociopath at Cambridge University well mainly forced to go and at least get some form of education. During one of his drug runs he got into it with a woman and mistakenly had me, (Y/n) Holmes.
My then so called mother dumped me on my dad because she would rather use her money to buy her coke instead of baby formula. So for the next five years my dad had left school to raise me....well I really wouldn't even say that either.
Now don't get me wrong he never touched me badly or even beat me but sometimes I wish he would at least notice me once in a while but he was always invested in his work. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't even know that I exist. When I try to get his attention he always either doing some sciency-stuff or trying to score some drugs with some of his friends.
But I guess he must have some kindness in him because whenever he's about to go on the stuff, he drops me off at grandma's and grandpa's house while he does his things. Though still I wish he wasn't like that and would spend some time with me.
(A/n : you’re the younger friend + you two are soul sisters, there’s no going back on that. Seriously, you’re both like Meteora and Mariposa from SVTFOE)
Sherlock x Child Reader~
A/N: This is the final installment of the Sherlock x Child Reader series, it was fun to write but coming up with a case was a bit difficult. It’s very much recommended that you listen to this while reading especially near the 8:00 part. I hope y’all enjoy!
Summary: (Y/N)’s 12th birthday is just around the corner and Sherlock finds a case that may change everything.
“Sherlock,” the aforementioned detective paid no mind to the voice calling out his name.
“Sherlock,” the voice spoke again this time with a tightness in their tone. But once again, the consulting detective cast the voice aside and continued with his nonsensical mutterings.
“Oh for Christ’s sake! William Sherlock Scott Holmes!” the voice snapped in irritation as he finally turned around to see young (Y/N) standing there with a binder in her hands.
She held the binder tightly as her hands shook in anger, her jaw was set, and the bags under eyes were dark as it showed the fatigue evident on her face. At only 11 years old she was already finishing up her last year of high school as her intelligence was finally noticed, and not too long ago her voice had been discovered and she was offered a spot in the Royal Opera House where she had been performing at for some time now.
“I understand that you have a case Sherlock” (Y/N) said tiredly with a faint smile, “But I am trying my best to get these songs memorized by Friday so that we only have to go over minor details.”
Quickly she stifled a yawn and rubbed away the sleep that glazed her (e/c) eyes. Sherlock glanced quickly at the clock on his mantle and walked towards (Y/N), taking the binder away from her.
“(Y/N), I stay up because I do not need sleep. But you are still a growing child and very much need the rest. So I will keep your binder until tomorrow, and you will go to bed getting the adequate rest before school” he said as he placed his hand on her shoulder, leading her to her room.
She gave no word of protest, as the lack of sleep began to catch up with her and she only nodded in agreement. When they reached her room, she slowly dragged herself to her bed and haphazardly tossed the covers over her. Snuggling into her pillow, (Y/N) smiled softly and patted a spot on her bed, indicating for him to sit down.
With a sigh, Sherlock complied to her wish and sat down on her bed wondering what could be going on in that brain of hers. “I spoil you too much, you’ve made me a rather weak fool” he said with a chuckle.
With a hum she replied, “You’re as sharp and witty as ever Sherlock only difference from several years ago is that we can now call you human.”
“The day I become human, as you all put it. Is the day that the world ends from the lack of one of its most brilliant minds, aside from yours of course” he said with a light tone of amusement.
“Oh great, you’re making jokes now. It seems the world really is ending” she remarked jokingly as she closed her eyes, “Goodnight Sherlock.”
“You can’t make a comment like that and just go to sleep” he said, but she paid him no heed as she had already fallen asleep. Tucking her in properly, he got up and turned off the light. He gave a glance to the little girl that had completely turned his world upside down, with a small smile he whispered, “What am I going to do with you?”
______________________________________
“Has the great Sherlock Holmes finally found a case that he can’t figure out?” Lestrade asked as he took a quick sip of his coffee, “Should I call up (Y/N) instead?”
“No, I can easily figure this out if you would stop with your incessant babbling and no, we do not need to bring (Y/N) into this” Sherlock barked as he thought entered his mind palace.
“Come now Sherlock, I’m sure your fiancée wouldn’t mind coming to help you out” John added.
With a growl Sherlock replied, “She was three years old. Let it go already, and if you can’t make yourselves useful I suggest you all shut up.”
Nothing in this case seemed to add up, the girls ranged between the ages of 12 to 18, they were of different backgrounds, from different schools, and had no contact whatsoever with the other girls.
The harder he thought about it, the more the case began to make sense. Even the details that had seemed unimportant started to come together, and that’s when he realized who was the next target.
“John, do you remember where (Y/N) said that she would meet you, so you could come pick her up and have tea together?” Sherlock asked as he pushed everyone out the door while putting his coat on in the process.
Rather than question the enigmatic detective, John answered, “(Y/N) said that she would meet me near the intersection of Oxford St. and Highbury Ave. Why?”
“Because John, if you haven’t realized it yet, the next target is (Y/N). The person is obviously a male in his early to mid-forties, was a single father, but his daughter who would have been 18 around this time was killed in the same way all the other girls were” Sherlock said quickly as a cab finally picked them up. “The intersection at Oxford St. and Highbury Ave. And step on it!” Sherlock barked, the cab driver doing as told.
The cab driver raced toward the direction that he had been told, and the closer that they reached toward the destination, the closer (Y/N) got into view. Having seen the cab race toward where she was, (Y/N) obliviously thought John was simply coming to pick her up and began to make her way across the street.
But as John and Sherlock saw the cab come to its stop and they stepped out, (Y/N)’s name barely left their lips before a loud gunshot resounded loudly and (Y/N) was left with a wound in her chest.
“(Y/N)!” both Sherlock and John cried out as they raced toward the girl, her blood beginning to stain her clothes. Gently they cradled her as their cab driver called for both the police and ambulance.
“It hurts! It hurts!” (Y/N) sobbed, tears pooling in her eyes as she clawed where she had been shot. “Make it stop, it hurts.”
“You’re going to be alright (Y/N),” Sherlock said despite the fact that he knew the ambulance wouldn’t get there in time. But it was a lie that he was willing to make, for (Y/N), for John, and most of all..... for himself.
“After you get treated you will continue on with your life. You will eventually become a teenager, get a boyfriend or girlfriend, your preference of course, go on to University. You will soon enough become an adult, get married, have children or adopt, and become a consulting detective. Just like you said you would, so don’t worry because everything will be alright” Sherlock choked out.
(Y/N)’s sobs slowly began to fade and her breathing became shallow, her hands becoming colder by the second. Swallowing with difficulty she choked out, “Tell my Mumzie that I’m thankful she raised me. Tell Mary, Lestrade, and Molly that I’m glad they were my friends. And thank you, both of you for having been in my life......”
No sooner did the words leave her mouth, did she finally cease to breathe and her heart stopped. (Y/N) Hudson died that day at the tender age of 12, leaving behind those she loved, and taking with her what everyone called Sherlock’s humanity.

Sneak Peek
Hi my lovely ducklings!
I decided since it is the first of March I would give y’all a sneak peek of the last installment of the Sherlock x Child reader series. Enjoy!
Quickly she stifled a yawn and rubbed away the sleep that glazed her (e/c) eyes. Sherlock glanced quickly at the clock on his mantle and walked towards (Y/N), taking the binder away from her.

Sherlock x Child Reader ~ School
Sherlock x Child Reader ~ School
Summary: After the return of Sherlock, our reader’s young life once again has a sense of normality. But what happens when she must begin her education?
It was around 3:30 in the afternoon when Sherlock heard the slam of a door and what sounded like the frantic voice of Mrs. Hudson. Rather annoyed he got up from his seat and went to go see what was all the fuss about.
Stepping out of his apartment he could hear the rather flustered and stern voice of Mrs. Hudson and a much younger voice answering back with an out of character ferocity.
“Mrs. Hudson, will you keep quiet!” Sherlock calls out as he makes his way downstairs to get to the bottom of what had disrupted him in his process of finding answers to a new case.
“Oh Sherlock” Mrs. Hudson said in distress, “Maybe you can talk some sense into my granddaughter, she just won’t listen and has locked herself in her room.”
“And what makes you think that she will listen to me, after all don’t children listen to their grandparents?” he said rather uninterestedly.
“She looks up to you Sherlock. And if anyone can get her to at least explain herself would be you” Mrs. Hudson said tiredly, “I’ll be in the kitchen making her snack.”
As far as Sherlock could recall today was your 3rd day in school, and he had seen you quite excited in beginning your education. You were never one to turn away from a learning experience, so something must have made you dislike school so quickly.
Knocking on the door a few times, he let himself in to see you sprawled, face down on your bed. Your uniform was slightly wrinkled and your book bag had been tossed carelessly aside.
“Care to tell me what happened?” Sherlock asked as he sat down next to you.
For a moment you stayed silent, before you spoke up but never once looking up. Your faced still smushed against your pillow.
“Everyone’s a stupid goldfish. They can’t handle a simple conversation on the effects of gamma radiation on the human body before they run off to ‘play’ with their friends” you said bitterly.
“And the teacher isn’t any better, she acts as if I was baby incapable of speech and lacking in thinking for myself. I already know how to read, how to count, what the colors are, and I can tie my shoes without any help!” you cried out angrily. “And she obviously only cares about making stupid Gwinifred’s father donate more money to the school than he already does!”
Sherlock kept quiet through most of your rant, watching your minuscule movements, the tone of your voice, and your refusal at moving your face away from your pillow. He sighed quietly and gently stroked your hair.
“Your classmates bullied you, didn’t they?” he asked rhetorically. Your body tensed and you jerkingly got up, before you faced him. The front of your uniform was dirtied, scratches littered your arms, and with your hair pushed away from your face he could see a bruise beginning to form near your eye.
Tears formed in your big (e/c) eyes and your bottom lip quivered, “They called me a freak Sherlock. They called me a freak and were really mean.”
Was all you managed to say before you wrapped your arms around him tightly and sobbed. His grip tightened slightly at your words.
“Don’t worry (Y/N), they won’t bother you anymore. I’ll most certainly make sure of that” he said gently. When truthfully inside he was furious, and he would make sure you never came home upset and bruised.
He would certainly make sure of it.
Sherlock x Child Reader ~He’s Gone
A/N: This is the second part to Sherlock x Child Reader ~ Cluedo
(Name) looked blankly out the window of her Grandmother's flat. It had been almost 2 years since Sherlock committed suicide, and (Name) continued to miss him. But what did you expect from her? She was only four years old when her dear friend as well as "fiance" had taken away his life by jumping off a building. Since then she wasn't the same child she was two years ago, it really hurt her to know that he wasn't around anymore. She could still remember every moment she spent with Sherlock in that one year that she knew him. ~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~~ "Sherlock! Sherlock! Are you there?" (Y/n) called out from outside his flat. She had just gotten the movie Frozen from Molly as a thank you gift for planning her surprise birthday party and couldn't wait to watch it with Sherlock.................... even if he did spoil every movie she tried watching with him. Finally getting rather bored of waiting for Sherlock to open the door, she peeked into his flat to find him on his favorite chair. He remained in his thinking position till he finally noticed (Y/n)'s presence when she waved a hand in front of his face. "Could you please refrain from doing that?" Sherlock said calmly as he tried to return to the thoughts in his mind palace, only to be interrupted by the 3 year old again. "Will you watch Frozen with me, Sherlock? Please?" she said with a pout. "And why would I do that?" he asked rather baffled that she interrupted him, as he knew that she understood his line of work. "Because you promised. And because I'll tell John that you were the one responsible for his favorite jumper getting ripped, and not the neighborhood cat" (Y/N) said with the most innocent smile. "Very well played (Y/N)" said Sherlock with a bit of pride in his voice, "Alright I will watch it with you. But only once." "I wouldn't expect any less Sherly" (Y/N) said with a bright smile, before putting the disc in the DVD player ~~~~~ End Flashback ~~~~~~~~ Smiling faintly, (Y/N) got up from her spot on the couch and slowly made her way up to 221B. Her hand gently brushed against the rail, and trailed behind her before the door of 221B was in direct view. Shakily she turned the knob and pushed the door open, and it took all her strength not to break down crying again. Gently she shut the door behind her, and looked around the unused flat. Everything was just as it had been, just like when Sherlock had been here. A small chuckle left her as she spotted the smiley face on the wall. ~~~~~~~~ Flashback ~~~~~~~~ Tightly (Y/N) held onto Sherlock's hand as they made their way to the crime scene that Detective Lestrade had told him to come to. It wasn't the first time really that (Y/N) tagged along, but (Y/N) was still only a child and some of the cases happened to make her a little queasy. As she stood beside Detective Inspector Lestrade, and she blocked out most of the ramblings as well as arguments that Sherlock was currently having with the people present. "It was the babysitter" (Y/N) piped up from her spot. All the grown ups present turned to the little girl who had remained silent the entire time. Donovan and Anderson stifled a laugh before looking back at the corpse. "What makes you say that?" John asked slightly skeptical but willing to listen to what she had to say. "There are small threads of blue fabric clinging to the corpse and the babysitter was wearing a blue cardigan. It's obvious that she was having an affair with her employer as she kept staring longingly at him when Mr. Lestrade was interrogating him. Underneath her fingernails the skin inside is lightly dyed red, but her red nail polish makes it hard to spot. And lastly when I was speaking with her, she slipped up when she said "I hope that her death was quick and the scissors did their job." No one ever mentioned that the weapon could have been scissors" (Y/N) said a bit out of breath. When she finished speaking Sherlock looked up from the corpse and ruffled her hair. "You once again manage to amaze me (Y/N). Well Lestrade, it appears that the case it wrapped up" Sherlock said as he got up and dusted off his pants. "You don't mean to tell me this little brat solved the crime Sherlock" Donovan said apalled. "Yes, Donovan. It's not like someone with such a low I.Q could understand just how a child was able to best all of you" Sherlock snapped. "I think we're done for the day. Come John, (Y/N) let's go home." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ End Flashback ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Y/N) sniffled as the tears streamed down her cheeks. The apartment felt so cold and lifeless without all the bustle that once surrounded John and Sherlock. But John had moved on, and he was now dating a nice woman called Mary. Suddenly (Y/N) felt two arms wrap around her comfortingly, her eyesight was blurred with tears but they widened greatly as she realized who the person was. "Sherlock! You're alive! You're alive!" she cried out happily as she hugged the man back. In that moment it didn't matter that he had been gone for two years, it didn't matter that she had no idea of his whereabouts. What mattered was that he was alive. "It's alright (Y/N), I'm home."
Sherlock x Child Reader ~Cluedo
A/N: Please take note that I wrote this a long time ago, when I first found out about fanfiction and fandoms. Hope you enjoy this!
_______________________________________________
John and Sherlock were having a rather slow day, meaning John finally had a chance to relax and enjoy himself. While poor Sherlock was bored out of his wits end. The apartment was filled with silence and the occasional clink of John's cup being set down. Quick knocks resounded in the room and stopped after a bit. "Are you getting that?" asked Sherlock not getting up from his chair. With a sigh John got up and opened the door, but when he did there was no one there. Looking down he spotted a little girl who looked no older than 3 years old. She had (h/c) hair and big (e/c) eyes, wearing a cute dress with bunnies at the hem of it. Holding out a piece of paper to John, he quickly let her in seeing no sign of her guardian anywhere. Dear John, I'm afraid I had to go and run some quick errands, could you and Sherlock watch my granddaughter (y/n) for me? I'll be back soon. Love, M. Hudson Turning back to little (y/n), he saw you looking at Sherlock with child like interest. "(Y/n)?" you looked at the man who had said your name. "Would you like a snack since you'll be here with us for a while?" he asked. "Yes" was your short reply "Good, well (y/n) my name is John and my friend over there is Sherlock." "Sherlock play with (y/n) while I get her a snack" "But John....." "No buts play with her" and with that John left you with the very upset detective. He gave a sigh before turning to you "(Y/n) was it?" you gave him a nod. "Would you like to play Cluedo?" he asked, you smiled. He got out the game and gave you some time to think who could have committed the crime it didn't take you long, tugging on his sleeve signaling you had the answer. "Victim" was your answer, his eyes widened slightly "Who did you say did it?" You gave him a small pout for not having listened "Victim" he smiled and chuckled. Picking you up he tossed you in the air and caught you, making you go into a giggling fit as he repeated the action several times joyfully. At that moment John came back with a platter of cookies and milk, and was rather surprised to see Sherlock act so..... childishly. "John tell Ms. Hudson whenever she wants we can watch (y/n) for her" Sherlock said as he held the smiling child in his arms almost protectively. To say the least this was an even bigger surprise for John never had he thought Sherlock capable of acting like this. "(Y/n) why don't you tell John here who committed the crime" Sherlock said as he gently lowered you down, only for you to stretch out your hands asking silently to be picked up again. Complying to your child like behavior he smiled as you looked at John with a smile. "Victim" was your short reply. Giving a hearty chuckle, Sherlock looked to John with a smug look on his face at the fact that even a 3 year old got the same answer as him in the game. Being the child you were you did and said something neither expected. Giving the renowned consulting detective a kiss on the cheek you asked, "Sherwock can I marry you when I get big?" John was about to explain that you couldn't marry Sherlock when you got older but before he could Sherlock spoke. "If you do well in school and learn as much as you can, then I'll marry you, fair enough?" he said, with a happy nod you jumped down from his arms and to the delicious cookies that awaited on the table. John walked over to Sherlock with a frown "You shouldn't say things you don't mean" he said with a huff. "Who says I didn't mean it?" and with that they watched as you happily munched on a cookie. But the future could only tell of what would happen but for now all was well in the world.
