"I don’t owe you an explanation!"
"No? You might find you’re wrong about that, Sherlock, seeing as I am your legal guardian for the forseeable future!"
"Where did you hide it?!"
Mycroft raised his eyes and gave a thin, uninterested frown. "Hide what, brother dearest?" he asked from behind his paper.

To make the claim that times were tough would be a gross and completely nonsensical understatement. Helen had loved her paid placement at Bart’s, of course she did, but the salary she was making couldn’t quite match up with her rent and the never-ending stack of bills that only proved to further grow upon her kitchen counter. Delving into her inheritance, to her, was only a surrender and she still firmly held the belief that to get what she wanted, she would have to put in the hard work.
And so, getting a second job was the only option. The little coffee shop had its perks of course, it was so close to her flat, and despite the pay not being that plentiful, with the salary from the hospital, she’d be able to make ends meet with no worry. She worked part-time, only on the weekends and even then the hours were long and tiresome, though her colleagues would manage to get a laugh out of her every so often.
Early one Saturday morning, she arrived at the coffee shop a few minutes later than anticipated, and as she eased open the door, Helen unbuttoned her coat and headed for the cloakroom, calling out to any of her colleagues that may have arrived before her.
"Good morning!"
"This has nothing to do with you."
"If it has nothing to do with me then why was I sent here?" he asked cockily.

Questions
1.Have you ever lost a dear friend?
Yes. Quite a few actually...
2. What was your least favourite school year? Why?
SOPHOMORE YEAR.
3. How much would you have to be paid to redo that school year?
Not worth it. I'm in college now and moving on.
4.Where would you love to live? Why?
Well I'm actually moving to London next summer soooo yeah. That answers the first part. And I want to start new. Even if it is just for a few months or who knows how long.
5.Cat’s or dogs?
Dogs.
6. One colour you can’t stand?
I can't stand pink. But for some strange reason I'm wearing pink sweatpants right now...
7. If you could erase or redo one memory, what would it be?
I would erase all of elementary and middle school. Because I have what my therapist compares to PTSD. Because I have been severely bullied since I moved to Georgia from Texas. And I can't let anyone near the real me because I'm too scared they'll all hate me and find reasons to make fun of me.
8.If you were going to die and you could only make one phone call, who would it be to and what would you say?
I'd call my daddy. He's my rock. I love him so much and he's always been so supportive of me.
9. What’s your happiest memory?
I don't remember it clearly... but when I was about 5 I'd visit my grandma's house every Wednesday. My grandpa was really really sick with lung cancer, but my grandma would always pick my brother and me up and put us in his bed. He'd always say "go pick out a book" and he'd read to us. But my brother got to pick the book every time and he'd always pick Thomas the Tank Engine.
10. Do you know any special information?
I know what the different caliber bullets look like when they hit skin at different lengths. And I know how to tell the angle of trajectory of blood spatter. And which chemicles can be used to identify different drugs.
does that count?
11. What number do you not like?
69. People are so immature.

A very young, pirate loving Sherlock teetered up to Mycroft, holding out a wooden sword. Redbeard was behind him, wagging happily. Sherlock hadn't said his first word yet, even though he was far past the age he should've said it, but he was clever in letting people know what he wanted. He had a pirate hat on and was holding his own wooden sword.
Mycroft looked up from the plant he was digging up- Mummy had wanted it repotted- and sighed, then smiled. “You a pirate, Sherlock?” he asked with a grin, reaching out to ruffle the unruly hair on his brother’s head.
