Ten years ago, I visited my grandmother on arts and crafts day. The project was this pot. The day I was there, it was time to paint. So, she and I did it together as we picked yellow for the flowers. And we made sure to coat everything three times. The love I have for this woman is indescribable. And for me, this flower pot is a story. A memory. A piece of my heart. My grandmother is now 99.
