I have returned and I have thoughts about Maze of the Sphinx
(spoilers under the cut)
So far I'd say this was the most emotional book in the series so far (and my favourite), because it dealt with Garmadon coming to terms with how the bite was affecting him, and how he feels toward Wu being the more "likable" brother.
I also really liked Shezada, and I thought Garm and Wu's (maybe? i feel like he didnt really like her for some reason but that's probably because his thoughts weren't expressed as much as Garmadon's) crush on her was honestly really cute.
The mirror scene honestly made me tear up a little- I just felt so bad for Garm because at first he's so convinced that his wish can fix it, and that he could change destiny (which is a little similar to morros dileema) but then in the end he accepts it and the fact that when he was purified of the venom, he thought that it was over and he'd successfully changed destiny in a sense, only for Harumi to revive him. O u ch
Also, zombies now canonically exist and spread by biting each other is honestly mildly terrifying because it means that Ninjago has a genuine threat of a zombie apocalypse-
