i know healthcare is pretty abysmal everywhere, but i wonder how normal it is to find out you have severe deficiencies not because your dr. called you to explain them to you, but because you're neurotic enough to look at your own blood results by chance and do the research to interpret them.

whenever people make a wild political statement and give a source and the source is a tweet written by a 16 year old and then the tweet also has no source i'm like

listen. i'm not saying that 16 year olds are not allowed to have opinions or be respected. but an unsourced tweet that cannot be verified by research posted by a random kid on the internet is NOT a valid source please i am begging.

my urgent care called me an hour and a half after close to tell me they had my lab results and then left a message telling me to call back when they were open to hear what the results were. and that genuinely is so cruel imo

my first exam is in 13 minutes and i feel so overwhelmingly unprepared nihilistic numb and terrified all at once. the imposter syndrome is creeping into my skin and my bones and rattling me like a maraca

i saw a post for someone trying to raise funeral funds for somebody else and it was the most sus post i have ever seen in my life. and it’s left me torn between “i will simply leave that alone” and “pls why do people not use common sense when it comes to scams like this” and then i double back and think, right, most people have probably not had to pay for funerals or cremations before and have no frame of reference for how much the services cost or what their options are.

then part of me goes “but what if it’s real” and i’m just being evilly suspicious about another persons’ suffering?

then i look thru the archives of that person’s blog and see that they have a new story literally every month for abt the same amount of money with constantly different paypals and cashapps and venmos and i’m like..... no.... im probably right actually...
