Bright. The door is open. B1 winced. The hall is so bright compared to the dimly lit room she was being held in. A single naked bulb. No window. Cement floor and walls. Barely five by five feet.Wrists chained over her head; attached to the wall, three or four feet off the gound, on the wall next to the door. She was sitting on the cold floor, wearing nothing but an oversized shirt.

She blinked up at the visitor. They didn’t sound like one of the doctors. She couldn’t see them due to the light from the hall.Not that she’d even know them if she could see. She didn’t remember anything of her life before the lab. She knew she existed before, but she couldn’t remember. Like the word on the tip of her tongue.

She frowned.“I don’t know.”
