finally done - the cast of shimmer verse! obviously a ton of characters are missing but these are the ones i consider the “main players” [full view if tumblr has issues]

been sitting on some of these character choices for two years - excited to finally share them!

Finally figured out how I want to tell shimmer verse and how the story will be structured- as much as I would love to do a deep dive into each season and pick apart episodes and what happens in each of them, I just don't have the energy to make this AU as huge as it was originally conceptualized. I have gone through my notes (aka what's still in my brain) and dialed back some of the lore and backstory that isn't really all that important and settled on the following arcs:

Prologue - Sunset's adoption

Pilot - Harmony ; the defeat of Nightmare Moon and the finding of new friends

Arc 1 - Honesty ; at the Gala, Roseluck helps Sunset with her complicated feelings over a group of ponies she never thought she'd meet.

Arc 2 - Kindness ; Luna, Sunset and Ditzy Doo face off against an old flame

Arc 3 - Generosity ; much to Carrot Top's dismay, the wedding in the Crystal Empire is crashed by an unexpected visitor

Arc 4 - Laughter ; Lyra helps Sunset look on the bright side despite facing their toughest foe yet

Arc 5 - Loyalty ; Lightning Dust supports Sunset as they face the meaning of fighting a loved one

Interlude - Sisters ; Sunset and Ember chase after a haughty unicorn who stole her crown and meet a group of new friends

Finale - Magic ; Sunset faces off against a forgotten student and her dangerous right hand

Epilogue - Shimmer verse next gen

And that's shimmer verse! I originally wanted to tell this story in a full comic but I think I'll only be able to do abridged works but I hope you all stick around to see how it goes!

I have art planned that will reveal all of the villains, although most of them have been discussed before; one of which I've been excitedly sitting on for like 2 years now haha
