“Payback Time” - 16x20 canvas; acrylics
Man, I’ve been sitting on this one for a few months now, and it’s about time I finished it. I’ve been itching to get back to making some paintings for a while now. Even if this was simply finishing a piece that I started months ago, it felt good to throw some paint on a canvas again.
The new cover for the Kemono Friends Shin-Goji doujin has a reference I don’t fully understand but have seen in many fandoms.
Not translated into english yet though.

"Godzilla...Truly a chibi incarnate..." It was really interesting doing the highlights on this sketch. Instead of doing them in the usual manner of putting the ink down on areas closest to the light source, I used it mostly for the areas that were glowing. It's really weird because those areas are mostly between the skin folds and tail segments - y'know, NOT where the highlight marks would normally go. But that's what made this really fun, and it's a testament to Shin-Godzilla turning over the template set by previous Godzillas' standards.
