Are there any public figures or historical figures that your muse looks up to? Why? 

Is it cheating to say herself? Hermione still has lingering self-esteem issues that never went away after school, but she’s still grown drastically since then and made a ton of progress. She’s come to terms slowly with her personal trauma from the second war, she successfully advocated and changed the rights of house elves–something she started at age eleven–and became head of the Beast Division in that department because of her work. She’s quick-witted and knowledgeable at least a little on too many subjects to count, and though her work on restoring memory didn’t fully succeed (since it led to early-onset Alzheimer’s for her father and other chronic issues for her mother), she still managed to bring the memories back in a field of magic she was never particularly interested in. Hermione is a public figure, has been since she became best friends with Harry, so to look at all she’s accomplished in her life by 46? She absolutely admires the goals she’s met and the goals she’s aiming toward now.

How does your muse like to dress? 

She prefers to dress comfortably, first and foremost. Sweaters, loose t-shirts, and jeans are her go-to outfit when she’s at home or out running errands, because honestly she’s past the point of giving a damn about anyone who tries to snap a picture of her when she’s out and about. She’s still a person, dammit, she won’t beautify herself to please anyone whenever she steps foot out of her home.

16. Who is the most important person in your muse’s life and why?

Andromeda Tonks. Despite growing up around the Wotters and having many positive influences, at the end of the day, Teddy grew up with Andromeda, and she has always been the person they’ve gone to first with nearly every problem. She taught Teddy how to brew a good cup of tea. She taught them how to read with the Tales of Beedle the Bard. Andy taught Teddy how to be kind and fair, how to be strong. Teddy just ... loves Andy. 

20. Are there any public figures or historical figures that your muse looks up to? Why?

As a child, Teddy loved hearing stories of their mother and father from the mouths of others. Tonks and Remus were strong and brave and amazing wizards. They were incredible people. Of course, Teddy heard their flaws and quirks from Andy and the Wotters, but there was a special place in their heart for these idealized versions of their parents.

20. Are there any public figures or historical figures that your muse looks up to? Why?

tw child abuse & some Dumbledore positivity? Kind of?

Don’t bring him up around Harry. It’s honestly better for everyone not to … but … Albus Dumbledore. Harry has so many complicated feelings about Dumbledore that have stuck to him to this day. Dumbledore left him with the Dursleys. Dumbledore molded him into a soldier. Into a sacrifice. As a child. He knows now how wrong that was - how he would never allow it to happen to any child under his own watch. Dumbledore even outright told Harry once that he knew he was condemning him to a difficult life with his aunt and uncle. That he had not planned on caring about Harry as anything other than a piece of his plan. Harry was so angry at him for Sirius at that time that it barely sunk in. It took a lot of time for any of it to sink in - it all came home to torment him after the war. But still, Harry knows that Dumbledore loved him. And still, he knows Dumbledore tried to do what he thought was necessary. He can’t forget how safe Dumbledore made him feel - that just seeing him used to make Harry feel calmer, like they could all get through this, like he could get through this. He still loves him and that, for Harry, means everything. He just understands Dumbledore’s flaws a lot better now - still, though, that doesn’t mean he can bear hearing other people talk badly about him, even if he knows they’re right. Even if it’s the people closest to him rightfully criticising the man. It still hurts - Harry has always tended towards bias towards the people he loves most, putting them up on pedestals so high. And so much of who Harry is, for better or worse, is because of Dumbledore. 

Edit: I like to think after the war he learnt a little more about his family, including the Henry Potter, James’ grandfather, that he was named after. Aside from how good it made Harry feel to know that he’d been named after someone, that he was part of a legacy, part of a family (part of why he decided to name his own children after people) - he also admired his ancestor’s outspokenness for Muggle rights in a time when others wouldn’t. He’s glad to feel that connection to his past and takes it as another example for him to live up. 

28. How does your muse like to dress?

Harry’s never cared a lot about his clothes, to be honest. He grew up wearing Dudley’s secondhand things and then went to magic school where they all wore robes.  I’d say he favours simple, usable clothing that allows him to fight and doesn’t draw much attention to him otherwise. He got into the habit of wearing robes - especially once he became an Auror and had to wear the uniform. This is probably the movie’s influence but I also just constantly picture Harry in flannel shirts.

2. What do you think it would take for your muse to reach their absolute breaking point?

Losing either of her siblings would probably do it. The loss of any family member would be taken extremely hard by Dom, of course, but V and Louis are so important to her - she so much admires V and feels protective of Louis, and losing either of them would be a loss she couldn’t recover from.

12. What is your muse’s wand?

Her wand has a handle of birch and a body of willow, with a unicorn hair core. It’s ten inches and swishy. It’s her second wand, from Ollivander;s; the first was made from the same wandmaker who made Victoire’s. Like her sister’s, that wand also contained a veela hair core; it was made of hazel wood and was springy.

20. Are there any public figures or historical figures that your muse looks up to? Why?

Literally all the women in her family. (The men also but Dom just really is into powerful women.) There’s also Professor McGonagall (for whom her cat has been named, because Dom is just that person). And she’s rather fascinated by Rowena Ravenclaw. Victoire holds a special place in this list as well; from the time she was little, Dom was running after and copying V - down to being in the same house (which was more to do with Dom’s personality than anything else, but it also should be noted that she wanted to be in V’s house).

28. How does your muse like to dress?

Dom has two distinct styles. In public, she wears dark, sleek clothes. She likes to look sophisticated and professional. Her work robes are worn over a range of dark skinny pants with equally dark, fitted blouses. Her pants are usually black or gray, while she favors jewel tones in her blouses. If she went out on dates or for drinks with friends, her clothing would be much the same as her workwear. She wears flats, not heels - mostly oxfords, that look professional and are comfortable when she’s on her feet or running around St. Mungo’s. However, she loves heels and while she doesn’t wear them as much, she has a collection of designer heels.

In private - whether alone in her flat or with her family - she has a much more casual style. She’ll wear cutoff denim shorts and loose t-shirts or jumpers, with sandals or sneakers. In winter, she swaps the shorts ave sandals for jeans (a variety of skinny or loose cuts) and boots.

Her hair is currently worn in a bob, but until recently, she kept it long, in a bun for work or a loose braid at home. She generally doesn’t wear makeup, aside from lip gloss and mascara (thank you, veela genes). She favors simple, delicate jewelry - mostly in gold tones, and she especially loves layering necklaces and rings.
