When I think of the term diva, honey these ladies come to mind. Spinto soprano Leontyne Price, the late Shirley Verrett, Grace Bumbry, and Jessye Norman. (Verrett and Bumbry started as mezzo sopranos and moved into the dramatic soprano Fach, albeit in her latter years Bumbry went back to mezzo soprano).
