A video game where there's a prominent player facing sin counter and ways to gain or lose sin value.

But actually underneath there's a robust system of NPC reputation based directly on your actions and choices. And, importantly, has no interaction with your sin value. Also importantly, the NPC attitudes are born out only through dialogue and action. No counters, no bars, no compendia.

In fact, sins are functionally seperate from the game. A side activity.
