sometimes i feel like a failure becouse of what i like my body to look like. my mom always encouraged me to wear braids and dresses, but i didn't feel comfortable with neither of them. when i cut my hair she was really sad, and got even sadder when i told her i felt happy. than i wanted to get my ear pierced in the basic place. when i asked her for a permission, she was angry. she is against everything that is connected to long term body changes. two years have passed since my first piercing and she never even mentions them, pretending they do not exist. than i streched my ears and she didn't talk to me for about a week. i bleached and dyed my hair, and even if she hates them and do not touch them anymore, i can undertand it. but when she almost cried, afrer i told her im getting a binder, i felt like i wasnt enough for her. i felt like, i wasnt meeting her expetations as her child. it is fine when she asks me to let my hair grow, to take my gayges out, to stop dressing black and present as a woman. but it is not okay when she refuses to call me my pronouns, when she refers to me as a "daughter", a "girl" or my birthname. but i dont want her to get sadder. so i stay silent whenever i can
