TLDR; Psycho-Pass merch is in Daiso! (And I'm selling some leftover pulls!)

long version: I happen to be someone who is absolutely OBSESSED with the "Japanese-dollar-tree" known as Daiso! This year was the first time Daiso opened store locations in my home state of Colorado; you may have seen my stupid video about it.

I also dragged my friend with me to the grand opening of all 3 current locations; so you'd think I'd seen it all by the 3rd time.

imagine my surprise when I turn a corner, and THIS is in the toy section:

Not just Psycho-Pass merch. The only anime merch available in the store. in the TOY SECTION. You know, between the sandcastle molds and fart putty. But I digress.

I did buy 2 of the acrylic standee bags, and somehow pulled my 2 god tier picks:

INSANE luck. That did not reach me for the keychain pulls, bc it turns out when it comes to plastic trinkets of my favorite anime + cheap prices, I turn into a drug addict:

I did pull Akane eventually, but I had to buy Kogami online after I ran out of keychain packs to gamble with (lol)

Here's a headcanon, starting from season 1:

-Every month, Kougami’s mother sends him a book through the mail, and at the end of the month they have a lengthy book club over the phone. She used to give him the books in person at the PSB, but when he became an enforcer he begged her to stop. 

-After Kou left and Akane started reaching out to his mother, she started doing the monthly book club with her instead. It helped them both cope.

-At his return to Japan, all three participate in the meetings.

- During Akanes imprisonment, Kougami finds a way to have Sho send her a digital copy of the book, and in turn she sends her thoughts in a typed file that he reads to his mom in her absence.

- In return, Kou and his mom send a video back with their own thoughts on the story, and of course talk about how much they miss her/hope she's doing well.

This is all done through discreet file sharing through Sho, who is more than happy to find ways to make his big sis smile again.

Psycho-Pass Headcanon

Sho’s room is Kougami's former one. When Akane first visits and he apologizes for the scent of cigarettes he can’t seem to get rid of, she starts to cry. Sho is Akanes primary confider for her secret feelings for Kougami, and he’s always willing to give his sister a shoulder to cry on. This initial comfort is what built their close pseudo-sibling relationship, and they’re both always there for the other.
