THE PADS of her fingers tug endlessly at the hem of her dress, golden threads covering the expanse of the upper half of dusky thighs. she can't recall the last time she wore a dress, wore heels. chocolate hues stare into the reflection in the mirror, questioning if it's too much.

thin digits sweep through the raven, loose ringlets that sit on her shoulder, her free hand stretching the length of the bathroom and into her room adjacent. her hand rummages for her purse, snapping back to its original length once she has a tight grip.

she convinces herself out of her usual habit of worrying her lip, an attempt to ruin the red stain splashed neatly across them. heels click against the floor as long legs carry her to the livingroom. ‘ i feel like i'm dressed like an ass, like i’m donna trying to dress to keep up with jackie. it's too much, isn't it? you haven't even told me what castle you're taking me to go point and laugh at mario for not getting the girl, luigi. i'm over dressed, aren't i? maybe i should---i’ll go change. ’

☣┊shootiist gets a sick child !

’ Kid looks like hell. ‘ It’s what she’d heard one of the agents say when they’d brought her in, && now all that comes to mind is the fact she feels worse then she must look. Three days she’s been in this place && the whole time she’s been horribly sick-- && unwilling to let anyone close enough to help her. S.H.I.E.L.D had found her this way, huddled in the corner of a warehouse in some metropolis, trying to keep warm. By then she already had a fever through the roof && was too out of it to even realize what was going on. By now, she’s beginning to WASTE AWAY-- already undernourished && refusing to eat whatever they give her, things are looking grim for the child. In such a weakened state, she lashes out with her powers at any perceived threat ; namely doctors. Stray doesn’t like doctors && though she hasn’t seriously hurt anyone, the more delirious she becomes, the easier it is for seemingly innocent things to trigger memories of Hydra.

For now, they’ve stopped sending the medical personnel, leaving her in a containment unit curled && sweating against the wall. She’s cold && hot && shivering && sweating all at the same time && she knows she’s only getting worse but she’s scared && she doesn’t trust these people to help what if they suddenly there’s the sound of a door opening && she’s not alone anymore. Head lifts slowly, eyes glazed with fever landing on the intruder-- but this time it’s not a doctor. “ G-go away. “ Order comes out sounding insincere && weak, && is spoken as she curls further into herself. She doesn’t want whoever it is to go away, not really. But in her mind, it’s what has to happen.
