Since the 90’s and early 2000's “Girl Power” has expressed it’s way through numerous cultures all over the world. The idea to express yourself as women with goals, ambition, or even obtain individualism itself is power. The American ’Woman’s Rights Movement’ from 1840’s-1920’s has allowed women’s legal rights that were not given unto them for years under the constitutional law (let alone for African American women which laws still weren’t completely established till years later). Think about it, not being able to vote, work, socialize, have education, or have a voice at all without the approval of men? We’ve come a long way!
Clothing and fashion is an expression for women of how far we’ve evolved. Women dressing for themselves now days wearing bold makeup, daring hairstyles, and bold clothing has become powerful and a amazing transforming movement. Dressing for yourself, and not for the approval of men, is power. So be bold, be fearless! Where is your power? #Girlpower #ShopPinkranger
